At Bella's we create only the finest, all natural, authentic, Italian biscotti, hand-poured butter toffee and now old-fashioned cookies and brownies. Each is made with love and attention, one batch at a time, using only all natural ingredients with no preservatives.
I have many wonderful memories of enjoying fresh-baked Italian cookies with my family. Sharing traditions is what makes them so special. That is why I created Bella's Home-Baked Goods.
I am happy to be sharing my tradition with you.
Meet the Team Behind the Scenes at Bella's
Hello to all you amazing Bella’s Fans! I’m Deanna Bellacicco Breault, owner of Bella’s Home-Baked Goods. I’ve met many of you over the course of our 14 years in business at various festivals, craft fairs, and events. Owning this business has been a very fulfilling. I feel so blessed to have met most of you and grown this business to where it is today. Thank you to our loyal customers and fans! A lot of you have heard me say, more than once, that this couldn’t be done without you, our amazing customers, and the best employees in the Hudson Valley!
There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes at Bella’s that make us successful (aside from having the best biscotti!) I’d like to introduce you to my loyal, hard working staff that plays a huge role in this small business. I am continually asked if I bake this all myself…the answer is a resounding “No”…It wouldn’t be possible! I like to say we are a small business that produces a lot of biscotti. We supply our products to hundreds of retailers throughout the tri-state area. During Bella’s inception in 2002, I never dreamed of it taking off like it has. There have been numerous people that have helped along the way, too many to name. In the coming weeks, each week, I will highlight my staff that works in the bakery each day. They are the reason you all receive your biscotti, toffee, pepper biscuits and cookie patch bars and brownies whether by your favorite retailer, mail order, or festival! So, next time you see them, thank them for a job well done! Sempre Speciale!
Say hi to Danielle! “Dani” is our Head Baker and Social Media Manager and represents Bella’s at festivals and craft fairs. She has been with Bella’s for a little over a year and a half. Danielle is originally from Pittsburgh, PA but moved back to the Hudson Valley after graduating from The Culinary Institute of America (December 2014). Still in her hometown, she has her mother and father, as well as one brother and one sister. Here in New York, she lives with her hubby-to-be, Nick (October 20th 2017, officially) along with their two fur babies, Daisy the puppy and Duchess the kitty. When not at Bella’s, Danielle likes to take Daisy to the dog park and cuddle with Duchess (even when she doesn’t want to!).
Dani’s favorite part of working at Bella’s is seeing all our loyal customers, face-to-face, at festivals and craft fairs and ultimately getting to see how excited they are to taste our product! Danielle’s least favorite thing about working here is making Nutty Fruit Bars because they are so temperamental and hauling up the stairs our 50lb bags of flour and sugar! Her favorite biscotti are Salted Caramel but changes to Peppermint Stick for the Holidays. Danielle’s favorite Butter Toffee is white chocolate and favorite specialty item is our Gluten Free Almond Citrus Biscotti!
Say hello to Gina “Gigi” Jonietz, or as we just call her, “G.” Gina is now in her 10th year with us here at Bella’s as Bakery Assistant and going strong! She has been married to her husband, Erich, for 21 years and together they have two sons, Tucker, who is 18 and studying phlebotomy at Dutchess Community College, and Logan who is 15 and a future Broadway hopeful and practices at Got Rhythm Dance Studio in Gardiner. They also have three cats, Shellbee, Gussie, and Mr. Gibb. When not at Bella’s, Gina enjoys reading along with her Book Club that she organized and is president of (which is in its 13th year!), going to the beach, and kickboxing at Montgomery Karate.
Gina’s favorite part of working at Bella’s Bakery is customer service. Gina loves answering the phone and taking orders from our fantastic and loyal customers. She also enjoys cutting our single biscotti…truly an art form! Her least favorite part of Bella’s is working in the summer heat! But she sticks it out because you know what they say, “If you can’t take the heat, get out the kitchen!” Her favorite biscotti flavor is Cranberry Orange, and her favorite Butter Toffee flavor is milk chocolate! One of our specialty items Gina loves is Bella’s Seasonal Peppermint Bark.
This is Maria! Maria, also known as Salome, has been with Bella’s as a Bakery Assistant for over six years. She has 6 sisters and 2 brothers. Maria is originally from Oxaca, Mexico, but now lives with her brother and his family, as well as her sister Celina, who is also part of the Bella’s family! When Maria isn’t at Bella’s helping to create and package our amazing products, she is in her own kitchen where she really enjoys cooking in her spare time for her big family!
Maria’s favorite part of working at Bella’s is cutting our mini biscotti, a very arduous task that Maria does with a smile! Her least favorite part is cutting our single biscotti because she’s afraid to break them! Her favorite biscotti are Pineapple Coconut, Cranberry Orange, and Toasted Coconut Chip! Her favorite Bella’s Butter Toffee is milk chocolate and Maria’s favorite specialty item is our Nutty Fruit Bars!
